Bolder Typeface

BE BOLDER THAN BOLD!

The Bolder typeface was inspired by the old, massive cracked walls, still standing despite their conditions. Created by tearing black shapes printed on paper. Scanned then vectorised to form the blackest, boldest title font possible, with subtle tear details.

The idea was to represent the complex personality of Ellie Williams, a character from the video game and HBO show: The Last Of Us.

A girl living in a post-apocalyptic world. Orphan, deeply hurt emotionally and physically but still standing. The walls are my allegory for her, because no matter the ordeal, she seems unbreakable!Bolder than bold, because this is her nature. She is not only brimming by courage but she’is also the sassiest.
